zotero-better-bibtex stucking at Starting key manager #928
Comments
There's no everyone, there's just me. Nothing in the log snippets you posted shows BBT errors, and if deleting non-bbt files fixed the problem, it's most likely that Zotero had an error, and that that error prevented bbt from starting up. |
Do you still experience this error? |
No, after succeed update the latest version of BBT, I did not experience this error. It takes a while |
Whether the wait is normal depends on where it's waiting -- "Waiting for Zotero database" is normal, in the sense that I am really just waiting for Zotero to finish starting -- I am required to delay my own start until after that, nothing I can do about that. Until "Waiting for Zotero database" goes away, Zotero has't really started (try exporting something to RIS -- it will just sit there until it's really finished starting. If any of the other phases take more than a second, that's a problem that I would have to fix. The other problem is the same as #893, but I can't do anything about that without more information from the Zotero devs. I just supply the exporter, they prepare and call it, and I can't control how they do that prep and call. It looks like the prep is not happening for BBT-supplied exporters, but they'll need to tell me how I can trigger that. |

Hi, everyone,
Two days ago, when I update my zotero better bibtex from a pervious version, I encountered a problem, which stuck at Starting key manager. Below is my Errors and debug log at that time.

However, when after reading pervious issues about this problem, I try to delete the
zotero.sqlite.1.bak
and some other files in my computer, and the problem was solved. I am not clear about the reason behind this. Now, I used zotero for two days and found no problems for the time being. I am not very familiar with Github. The previous issue was closed, so I opened this new issue at the request of the author. Thanks the author and everyone!
