At some point in 2022 the internals of RG300s being sold online changed for the worse. It is extremely common for these devices to not be able to handle clock speeds over 600 MHz.
If your device cannot start games, or crashes very soon into launching them then you most likely have one of these units. The workaround is to lower the clock speed for the emulator. Follow the steps below.
- Go to the screen with the apps/emulators
- Have the app/emulator selected but don't start it
- Hit the
Select
key to bring up a menu - Select
Edit <app-name>
- Scroll down to
CPU Clock
and change to a value around 550 - Save the changes and try opening a game
