Yes, as far as I can tell it replaces all current vrt-channels (that is één/canvas/ketnet)
But you need a login for it

VRT NU is indeed the newest video platform of VRT. The old platform supported a small number of tv programs and only the last episode is available to watch. VRT NU allows to view all programs with episodes over a longer timeframe.

Would be nice if retrospect can support it. Keep up the great work!

This contains the new VRT NU channel but only works with the nightly/GIT version. See here how to install the nightly/GIT: https://bitbucket.org/basrieter/xbmc-online-tv/overview.

After installing the nightly/GIT and the initial Retrospect run, apply the patch to the net.rieter.xot.channel.be folder.

You need to configure your VRT NU account via the add-on settings.

I checked all the stuff into the main GIT/Nightly branch. Please give it a test run. It should be working now, including folders/seasons. Still looking for a high quality logo (512x512), but for now it should do.

Seasons are showing up in the list now. Still a bit buggy but I think this is a bug on VRT NU side. (Episodes in some seasons not showing up)

Compare the site with the Retrospect listing. If Retrospect is missing items, let me know here (please specify what show and episode) and I will have a look.

Lijst plots leeg hier... Geen idee of het aan mij ligt of aan site van vrt. Nog mensen met dit probleem? En enig idee wanneer deze uit de Nightly komt?

I just cant find the correct folder where to extract the updated retrospect channel files.
Im using the latest kodi17 rc on an android box.
Hidden files in kodi are on, searched all folders in root directorys,...no net.rieter.xot.channel.be folder found, searched google,...
In the kodi17 profile/addon_data/net.rieter.xot is only see 2 folders cache&textures.
At the end i tried to upgrade from install from .zip but that does not work.
Anyone can point me in the right direction where the plugin folder is located?
i want to update to beta because "Reizen Waes" is only available from new vrtnu.be channel.

Don't manually extra. Use the Kodi "Install from zip feature". Install the zip and re-run Retrospect.

To be honest, I don't think you have setup your username and password (and to do that, you need to setup a Vault PIN first, and that Vault PIN is not your VRT password) at all in the VRT NU channel settings. Because I just tried, and this stream plays just fine from NL.

If you did, you will need to post a full Retrospect.log with DEBUG mode enabled in the Retrospect settings.

Is het mogelijk de sorteervolgorde van afleveringen aan te passen?
Ik merk op dat dit nu alfabetisch is, wat niet echt de logische volgorde is voor het volgen van een serie zoals 'thuis' bijvoorbeeld. Op de site staan ze van laatste naar eerdere, via retrospect alfabetisch dus. Kan originele volgorde behouden blijven?

Jammer genoeg geeft VRT Nu geen goede uitzend datum mee. Soms wel, soms niet. Dus daarop sorteren is lastig. Je kunt wel "default" sorteren en dan zou Kodi de originele volgorde aanhouden.

Persoonlijk zou ik liever een API van VRT Nu gebruiken ipv de website. Maar ik heb geen idee of die er is? Is er bijv een Android app?

Ok, I tried to give it an effort. However it has limitations:

  • not all pages show dates, so not all lists in Retrospect will have dates
  • if they have a date, it does not contain a year. So for now it will always be 'this year'. So 2017 for now.

Just don't know which ones make sense?

Hallo Bas. Wat is belangrijk?

  • Eén, Canvas, Sporza en Ketnet (events3 is Ketnet).
  • Events1/2 worden enkel gebruikt bij speciale gebeurtenissen (sport of evenementen van nationaal belang).
  • Journaal streamt enkel live als er een journaal wordt uitgezonden (zie http://deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuws/videozone/livestream).
  • MNM/Stubru zijn de webcams van de radio. Radio1 zou er ook een moeten hebben, dacht ik.
  • Handig zou zijn om ook nog de radio's toe te voegen, zie bijv. https://github.com/timrijckaert/plugin.video.vrt.livestreams. Radiostreams hier te vinden: expattvvlaanderen.blogspot.be/p/vrt-radioprogrammas-downloaden.html#L

Dag Bas , laat mij u eerst feliciteren voor hetgeen u verwezenlijkt , Retrospect rules ! Kan u mij zeggen hoe ik de live streams van één en canvas etc...bekijk in Retrospect ? Alle episodes werken en zo... maar ik vind de live streams niet terug in het overzicht :-( . Bij voorbaat dank hoor .

Dank voor de complimenten. De Live Streams staan nog niet officieel online. Daarvoor zal je de chn_vrtnu.py van deze pagina (bovenaan) moeten downloaden en gebruiken om de bestaande file te vervangen in je Kodi installatie. De live streams zouden dan in de lijst moeten komen te staan.

Live streams werken perfect! Sporza zal enkel werken tijdens live uitzendingen (doorgaans wielerwedstrijden).
De datums staan ook juist bij series nu. Dus dat is ook perfect!

Radiostreams zonder webcam zou ik niet toevoegen, daar zijn genoeg andere plugins voor denk ik dan :-)

Ik heb op verzoek nog een "Channel" folder toegevoegd welke programma's per kanaal toont. Zie #823. Zou iemand kunnen kijken of dat zo handig werkt?
