About

Continuing the MNML Series One (minimal series one) with 45rpm, a carefully coded celebration of the 45rp single format. The grooves are "mathematically" correct, in that they are created by setting a bpm per track and the spiral in the disc forms as the rotation gets smaller. I wanted to make sure the patterns were just random but worked in the same way as they would on a real vinyl, although the maths was tweeked a little to make the pattern more pleasing.

These spirals were often prevalent in the Acid House records at the time. Some of the 45rpms cheekily squeeze two tracks onto a single side.
