Licensing of tld_serv_list

Hello!

I was wondering about the redistribution conditions of tld_serv_list. If I'm reading COPYING correctly the codebase is licensed as GPLv2+, does this also apply to the database files?

As much as collections of facts can be protected by copyright in your jurisdiction, then yes.
Do you have specific requirements?

I'm considering generating a rust library from those files. Personally I would've considered LGPL or even MIT, but the project that I'm working on is GPLv3+ anyway.

I may reconsider this in the future, but this time then I see no reason to use a different license.
