FEUP-RVA-VR

A VR game developed for the Virtual Reality course of the Master in Informatics and Computing Engineering, at FEUP. Developed in Unity using the XR Interaction Toolkit and the Oculus Integration package. Tested on Oculus Quest 2 (non-Standalone).

Features

  • Pick up and throw items
    • Small Rocks
    • Bow
    • Lanterns
    • Arrows
    • Monocular
  • Place items on belt and remove items from belt
  • Shoot bow (get arrow from quiver, place it inside the bow, then pull and shoot using both hands)
  • Arrows stick to terrain
  • Day and night sky and illumination; Set depending on the computer’s time
  • Movement
    • Teleportation
    • Continuous movement
  • In-world interactable UI
    • Setting time of day (Automatic/Day/Night)
    • Volume (Global/Ambient/Creatures/Objects)
    • Game Difficulty (changes enemy amount and boss health points)
    • Tutorial and tips
  • Health bar represented through hearts in the player’s hand
  • 2 types of wandering enemies which chase the player when near their field of vision
  • Boss, which spawns after killing all enemies
  • Player death and respawn
  • Sound effects (shoot arrow, hit enemy, enemy movement and death, environment sounds)
