install of posgres in ubuntu 18.04

$ sudo apt-get install wget ca-certificates
$ wget --quiet -O - https://www.postgresql.org/media/keys/ACCC4CF8.asc | sudo apt-key add -
$ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://apt.postgresql.org/pub/repos/apt/ `lsb_release -cs`-pgdg main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pgdg.list'

$ sudo apt-get install postgresql postgresql-contrib
$ sudo su - postgres
$ psql

install of pgAdmin4 for Browser in ubuntu 18.04

sudo apt-get install pgadmin4 pgadmin4-apache2

start the posgres from terminal

service postgresql start

Basic commands

$ sudo su - postgres
$ psql
$ \l
$ ALTER USER postgres PASSWORD 'newPassword';

open pgAdmin4

connect to by typing the passoword and server details see Guru99
