New Beta update of whatsapp web dosent work properly #159

this extenshion dosen't work properly for new beta whatsapp web update it dosent show someone is online or not either you open that tab.
please fix this issue.

I have the same problem. The problem is, if there is no focus on window with WA web, WA web does not send notification to status monitor or URL notification. I run WA web on virtual machine which is still on. But last week it doesn't work. I mean does not send notification.

Ok. this i will try. Thank you for this advice. But there is still problem, when I have focus on WA web window and I see contact online, it takes long long time to send notification to URL or WA monitor. Sometime when contact is online just short time, it even does not send notification.

I have also noticed the same issue today after the web got updated automatically . Even though I am online in mobile and checking the same contact , still it does not send notification in the web . it is probably because now each individual is a different client ..

@rizwansoaib Could you please tell me how to use pyautogui in firefox browser .

Domain is expired and it was running on free tier AWS it's cloud provider also exhausted free tier which was 1 year.

1.install python3
2. Create new script
3. Open firefox app and find coordinate according to your screen and check #145

Sorry you are facing issue but I am planning to discontinue web services only 3-4% users are using whatsappanalysis web service which is not more than 100 people.

so I didn't renew domain if I will be free with too much time then I try to rewrite web app with NextJs and improve user experience and as well as add some more features.

But I can't promise it will be sure I can try if time permits me currently I am busy with other things so unable to maintain this project.

I mean, it would be nice is in extension or desktop app would be some settings and I could set my own URL, for example: http://myserver/myapp/ and when contact is online extension would send me something like http://myserver/myapp/?online="+1999999999" or something like that. You can use open sourced release version of extension just edit in save function const surl variable and paste your api endpoint.

After seeing the new version of whatsapp web cripple things, I've now got it all working here again with some significant compromises...

  1. You now have to dedicate a device solely to the WA monitoring via Whatsapp Web (as it goes I have an old PC lying around that I can use for this)
  2. You can't have a screensaver on the PC - the PC must have whatsapp web running live (& 'with focus') all the time!!
  3. You need to 'spoof' (fool) whatsapp web into thinking there's a human actively using it ....this is done by moving the mouse at repetitive frequency - I used a simple windows app called movemouse (it does exactly what it says, moves the mouse in a small circle every 30 seconds or so - configurable)...no messing about with any egghead code or coordinates)

I'm using the latest V2.7 Chrome extension

May I request that V2.8 remembers the CSV download interval (& favourite number) from the last time it was loaded? Also it would be really good to have the online/offline notification times sent to the developers console...just to provide a recent visual of activity (as currrently I have to go to the download directory & open up the CSV file to see online/offline activity)

Which many contacts do you monitoring following this step ?
Do you need to stay at the "wanted contact chat window" always visible ?

As mentioned in point 2 above "whatsapp web must be running live (& 'with focus') all the time" ...so the answer is yes.
