Blender 3.5 Support #600
Comments
At this moment there are no known compatibility issues between Blender 3.5 Alpha (9cb061f4f011, 05-dec-2022) and the latest FLIP Fluids addon version 1.6.0, but this may change as Blender 3.5 develops. |
A known issue related to preserving vertex groups on simulation meshes from Blender 3.4 will currently carry over to Blender 3.5 See #590 (comment) for more information. |
The above issue has been fixed and is included in FLIP Fluids 1.6.1 (06-JAN-2023). |
Adding a note: Blend files created in the current version of Blender 3.5 Alpha may not function correctly when opened in Blender 3.4. This includes files that both use the FLIP Fluids addon and do not use the addon. This type of issue sometimes occurs during development of new versions of Blender and is usually resolved before release. |
The issue in the above comment still remains in Blender 3.5 Beta. I have narrowed down the issue and reported this on the Blender issue tracker here: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/issues/104902 At the moment, this is the only known issue that affects the FLIP Fluids addon at this moment. |
The above issue has been fixed and is now available in the latest build of Blender 3.5.0 Beta (2023-02-21 18:27, hash: 6693c50aceaa). |
The FLIP Fluids addon version 1.6.2 has now been well-tested in Blender 3.5 on Windows, MacOS, and Linux. At the moment there are no known compatibility issues specific to Blender 3.5. FLIP Fluids 1.6.2 was set to be released on March 29, 2023, but is now available early in the marketplace downloads. Release notes and updated documentation will be added during the next two days. |
Blender 3.5 is set to release on March 15, 2023 and at this moment it is too early for us to begin extensively testing this version. We will start looking further into official Blender 3.5 support shortly after Blender 3.4 releases on December 7, 2022.
Blender 3.5 Release Notes
At this moment, there are no known compatibility issues between FLIP Fluids 1.5.0 and the latest Blender 3.5 Alpha (November 14, 03:47:02, 5fe146e505d4)
