First, I really like your mod to the G36. Thanks. I encountered an icing issue (have icing turned on in MSFS2020). The pitot tube heat and prop de-ice worked fine, but I couldn't find a way to de-ice the windscreen. The cabin defrost is Inop. so I descended to warmer air. Is there something I'm missing? In other stock planes the windscreen de-ices when Pitot heat is activated. Thanks again for your work.

I'm in the process of going around the world in the V3 version. I ran into terrible icing as I headed into Finland this morning flying in real weather. I'm taking Roberts suggestion and just went into the Assistance Menus and Turned the Icing failure to visual only. This problem seems to be a MSFS issue as not all the buttons to control heat and icing are operative. They turn, but they say INOP. So after MSFS gets the base G36 fixed, then I will turn it back on again.

This is a lovely plane. I have just reached Helsinki and its the furthest north I have been. I don't want to fight it and ditch the plane when there is such an easy fix. Unfortunately I can't find a way to stop the icing on the window, just how it affects the plane.

Rob, I think I'm going the distance in this plane, still a long way to go to get back to England, Finland, Sweden and Norway are next before I take off towards Russia. All of this in the winter with little sunlight. Except for this issue, she flies beautifully.

Try the tip in the link below to remove the Ice from the Windshield. It worked for me.

The link says it works on all planes. I have not tested that. But if you do try it, let everyone know if it worked or not.

Its a simple fix and your windshield is clean in about 15 seconds. Ice is still on the wings and props, but you have already set that to Visual Only so should not affect characteristics of the plane.

I just tried the link above and it no longer works. I looked around and found this one which is basically the same concept.
Try it and see if it helps.
