Hi, we'd like to add custom icons for .robot files in KDE Breeze icon set. However, this requires that the .robot files have their own shared-mime-info, such as text/robotframework or something similar.
However, one can't create an MIMEtype for an extension we don't control, of course.

Here's more information about shared-mime-info: https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/shared-mime-info-spec/
If I understand this correctly, RF would need to install it's own MIMEtype during pip install, with
xdg-mime
. There are probably alternative ways too. This would also fix an issue of
.robot
files being handled as.patch
files by default because of the*** Header ***
parts of the file.Any interest in this? 😄
