Release 0.9.7 fixes the cause of a segfault during display detection if a monitor appearing to support
the USB Monitor Control Class Specification, i.e. one that uses USB to communicate monitor settings, is connected to the system. Users of release 0.9.6 who do not encounter this issue need not upgrade.

The release also contains some minor code cleanup.
