From Nei via irc.quakenet.org:

I wanted to congrat on your weed theme for irssi + just raise
awareness that your copy of adv_windowlist is heavily outdated, and for
trackbar22 that can be found on google and nickcolor_expando script as an
alternative if 256 colour nick colours are desired, or tmux-nicklist-portable
for tmux users instead of screen users

This sounds good.

adv_windowlist http://anti.teamidiot.de/static/nei/*/Code/Irssi/adv_windowlist.pl

trackbar22 http://anti.teamidiot.de/static/nei/*/Code/Irssi/trackbar22.pl

nickcolor_expando http://anti.teamidiot.de/static/nei/*/Code/Irssi/nickcolor_expando.pl

tmux-nicklist-portable http://anti.teamidiot.de/static/nei/*/Code/Irssi/tmux-nicklist-portable.pl

+1 for bundling in tmux scripts

Roni, should I just add these to my current version of weed? Or are these the scripts Nei is specifying as outdated?

Thanks :)

I guess those are the correct ones, yes. Feel free to add them. Sorry that I don't have ETA for these since I've been too busy lately with my dayjob. Will let you know, but it will take a while to get hold to this next time. If you know about theming/scripting, please feel free to improve and contribute by sending pull requests.

No worries at all. I'm in the process of moving far far away right now. So I'll add these as soon as I get some more free time and submit a pull request.

Cheers Roni!

Recently found out there's newer version of irssi and perl that use 256 colors, so I have little use for nickcolor_expando, since updating from CentOS 6.6 to 7 or irssi/perl manually would be overkill in this case. So we'll see what happens with the scripts, but @her feel free to submit a pull request anyway if you have ideas.

Hey @ronilaukkarinen

Sorry for the delay. In between moving, it's crazy. I played around a bit with adding these scripts but ran into a couple issues. Going to try and bundle them again and see if I can have better luck. I'll be sure to leave our nickcolor_expando this time.

I'll let you know if I run into any issues getting you a pull request.

Some progress here, tried to update CentOS via httpftpnfs and really fucked it up... spent my evening with backing my system up and then did a clean install to Fedora 22 yesterday, it has all the bits and pieces I need (newer perl and irssi). I have been installing stuff again and I'm still very busy with work and sleep deprived so don't get your hopes up. But it's a progress. This goes hand to hand with Solarized Weed (referencing here for not to having to comment both.

Already chatted with Nei since nickcolor_expando works for me now. Seems really useful and fun! I feel like a dinosaur to be years behind of the progress (thanks to ancient centos server). Really thought irssi or perl won't advance that much later on.

Oh, great work! Right, irrsi and perl are so established you don't expect much major changes. I've had trouble loading and bundling these scripts... same thing, it just breaks everything. Also over the last week or so I've just been so busy(moving across the country) sold everything and relocating is a lot of work

I'll have a good chunk of car travel time over the next few days so I'll try and squeeze in some road coding.

Thanks Roni!
