Imou Ranger 2 4Mp Support #208
Comments
Hi |
Hi, I firstly installed ONVIF to allow PT control and then, I installed WebRTC. After restart, I added custom card WebRTC, but not see any video (see my issue here: AlexxIT/WebRTC#333). I saw, that H.265 is not supported (but noticed it later, after I posted issue there), so I tried to change to H.264. To change this, I used Dahua's (original camera manufacturer) Config Tool (https://dahuawiki.com/ConfigTool), I logged in using username and password (or security code, if you not set password) and changed codec from H.265 to H.264 and also changed VBR to CBR with maximal quality. Then, I restarted camera and HA and video was visible. Now, I am fighting with sound - althrough I set to use PCMA (A-law), sound is outputted only on one of my indetical cameras in HA. But second one is working well after that change. I will try to play with Windows, as I changed it using Mac version. But video is working fine and PT also. |
Hi
it seems complicated but I will try.
Thank you
Michael

it looks like, but it is not:
- install ONVIF
- install WebRTC
- if you have 4K camera, use ConfigTool to change codec from H.265 to
H.264
- add Custom Card: WebRTC with camera RTSP address and you should have
a picture

… No problem:
- go to Settings/Devices
- search for ONVIF in Integrations
- enter Name (any name you want for device)
- enter Host (it is IP address of your camera - recommending assign
static IPs for all your cameras)
- leave Port as 80
- enter User Name *admin*
- enter password - you can set it in Immou Life app, if not set, then
you need to enter security code at the bottom of your camera
DONE :)

Hi, this is because you either entered wrong password (you need to set it first in camera's settings - you will need security code, which is at the bottom of the camera on the sticker) or you not enter security code (in case you not set your own password). User name is always admin. |
Thanks a lot I managed to configure onvif and change the codec to 264. I
have picture and sound in a frigate card. Now I will look for how to save
bye Mike

Welcome, I am glad to help you! Anyway, for developer of addon - it will be nice to support also this model (see my original post at the top). |
I'm anxiously waiting for it. I have 2 IPC-A43 and I can use only 1 with Onvif (home-assistant/core#70056). The other one I use with RTSP, but without PTZ |
Do you guys have your sensors working? |
Hi, I am not using any of this sensors - just use it for live view of picture. But I definitely agree, that integration needs to be improved! |
Imou does not support native Dahua API, use the Imou Life cloud integration instead https://github.com/user2684/imou_life |
I also got a Range2C and that's what I did at first but, it's really infuriating to be dependant on tens of differents sellers Clouds and/or applications for each devices bought... |
Hi,
can you add support also for this camera? When I try integration and fill all requested fields correctly, I am still getting error saying, that username, password and/or IP address are wrong. But I am 100 % sure, that values are right (camera works fine with WebRTC Camera integration with same credentials).
Thank you
Jirka
