imfile-truncate-2GB-file.sh test fails in hppa #3698
Comments
I see - it looks like this system is extremely slow. We need to add a capability to the testbench to change the default timeouts. They are currently modeled after our (already pretty slow) CI systems, but there seems to be room for further enlargement. @Whissi could you lend me a hand when it comes to passing configure options to the testbench bash scripts? I am not 100% sure how to do that. |
Hi, https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=rsyslog @rgerhards : you mentioned this is a timeout issue: Should we just bump a few timeouts or disable the the extended test bench on those architectures? |
I think we just need to bump the in-test guard period timeout. Unfortunately, I have two urgent customer support cases pls serious family affairs I need to take care of. Will look ASAP, but may be late next week. or check diag.sh for the guard timeout. |
I've applied https://salsa.debian.org/debian/rsyslog/-/commit/3c9a15f550af9e79484509b1388a22ae191961aa for the time being. Looking good so far. |
looks good - thanks for your help! |
Those tests can take a long time, especially on slow architectures like armhf, so bump the test timeouts considerably. closes rsyslog#3698
@mbiebl sry, it looks like I did not apply your patch; doing it now |

Hi @rgerhards, thanks for merging the patch. |
@mbiebl thx for the extra info and sorry for the wrong attribution ... but now it's (git) history. |
The attribution is correct. But since I originally submitted this MR, we had an addtional update. |
@mbiebl sorry for misunderstanding. I'll just bump the values even further. After all, they are just safeguards... Thx again. |
