Issue type: Bug report/Enhancement Request

  • Rundeck version: 3.1.6-20200210

I am trying to reference some jobs in a job and goal was to run those jobs on their specific nodes. But following option is not available in parent job's work flow job reference step.

"Use referenced job's nodes. If the referenced job is from another project, you can use referenced job node list instead of the parent's nodes. "

I can see this option in Version 3.4.*

Any suggestions how can use this capability in my current version of rundeck?

the workflow step’s advanced options. T

Hi Niall, I am not seeing this behaviour. all jobs started to use using nodes of parent job's project. But I want job to run on their respective nodes.

Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing? Here's what I get when I add a job reference in 3.2.7:

Is there any other way? I have to run 4 jobs running on different nodes and from 4 different projects (which are running scripts and commands) from 5th project's single job.

Can we run rundeck commands with ssh-key instead of password.

Hi @aman35

  1. About the upgrade is the easiest way, Rundeck 3.1 branch doesn't include that feature.
  2. Yes, you can configure your nodes using keys take a look at this.

Please let's continue these topics here.

Thank you!
