Consider rename? #41
Comments
Glad you found that. Ideas for rename? |
I'm a fan of somewhat abstract names. How about Navel? (lint -> belly button lint -> belly button -> navel) |
That is pretty good! |
Chuckle. My namesake got all the imagination in the "family". I was gonna suggest CFMLint, esp as it keeps options open for Railo and OpenBD options in the future. But I like Navel. You're gonna have to explain it to most people, though ;-) Adam |
I agree that most people won't get the association, but I don't think it necessarily has to be explained. At least we shouldn't feel the need to force-feed it to them, in the ReadMe for example. But if people ask then we could tell them. Inside jokes are fine as long as they're not hurtful, and this one certainly wouldn't be. Certainly we could do worse. (If you're confused, the project was originally named "Testacular") |
Haha, ya navel works. Lets give it another day or two to consider since github renames break links and whatnot |
It is done! |
:) |
So if you're not familiar, the oddly named CFEngine tool has also inspired its own linter, also named CFLint.
I would venture to guess (but it is a guess) that many more enterprise businesses are using CFEngine than businesses (of any type) are using ACF. Perhaps it would be wise to come up with another name to avoid confusion?
