A thesis by Richard Lincoln, presented in partial fulfilment of the
requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the University
of Strathclyde in 2011.

BUILD INSTRUCTIONS
======================================================================

This thesis is written in LaTeX and can be built using the pdflatex
command. PGF/TikZ is used to create certain diagrams and a recent
build is required to exist on the texmf tree. Builds can usually be
obtained from:

  http://www.texample.net/tikz/builds/

The UML sequence diagrams are built using pgf-umlsd and a working
style file is included. Newer versions of the macros are usually
available from:

  http://code.google.com/p/pgf-umlsd/

The simplest way to build the thesis is to just run:

  $ make

Auxillary and output files can be removed using:

  $ make clean
