Keeping with the theme of my other requests for enhancing user experience I think it would be a great option for RYO to add the choice for users to run a node with a cropped down version of the blockchain. This capability could allow for greatly reduced initial sync times for on-boarding of new users.

Monero's pruning feature (PR 4843) would be a nice reference point for an implementation approach.
