I had a couple more minutes. It seems that the internal state excluded all servers from being eligible as an entry node (= home hub). I don't know why that happened.
Can you try to connect again and copy the debug data from the settings page? I'd like to know more about the internal state of the SPN.

Great! Thanks a lot!

Ok, I see the problem now, but I don't know what exactly happened. If you find the time, it would be great if you could follow these steps to get the necessary data to get to the ground of it:

  • Set the Log Level to trace.
  • Shutdown the Portmaster.
  • ⚠️ Delete databases/cache directory from the Portmaster's data dir.
  • Start the Portmaster and connect to the SPN.
  • Observe the error.
  • Shutdown Portmaster.
  • Send most recent .log and .error.log from the logs/core dir - preferably to a pastebin with a timeout.

Alternative steps:

  • Shutdown the Portmaster.
  • ⚠️ Delete databases/cache directory from the Portmaster's data dir.
  • Open a cmd with admin privileges.
  • Run this command: C:\ProgramData\Safing\Portmaster\portmaster-start.exe core --data C:\ProgramData\Safing\Portmaster -- --log trace
  • Connect to the SPN.
  • Observe the error.
  • Stop it with CTRL+C.
  • Send the output via a pastepin with a timeout.

(It should have formatted the debug data it with sections automatically, I guess it was indented too much, because it made code blocks.)

Thanks!

I've already found one issue that I am now investigating.

But I just realized I forgot one important step in the alternative instructions. Sorry about that.
I really want to know why Portmaster marks the known servers as "Invalid".
I updated the instructions, could you do it again?

I am really sorry but I reinstalled it in the process and the SPN is now working. Do you still need the logs file even though it works?

Well, great that it works now!
Too bad though, I'd would have loved to get into this more. It will happen again, so I'll get my chance.

No, thanks, I don't think there would be something in the logs if it works.

Did you perhaps use a different Internet Provider / IP address when reinstalling?
The issue I am investigating is related to location data of the device that might be missing.

Everything is almost the same. I also deleted the Cache folder in %appdata% and then when the Notifier wasn't opening I reinstalled Postmaster. Strangely enough, when it first wasn't connecting I tried reinstalling it too. Don't know why it started working.
By the way, is there a place in settings to exclude certain programs/games from SPN? I can only find the SPN Rules which as I understand apply to websites and IP's?

I see. Yes, I don't know either. But will find out eventually.

Exclude from SPN: Just untick "Use SPN".
