Firefox for Android Stable supports just a few extensions currently and this doesn't seem to change anytime soon according to an ex-employee.

Mozilla has created an option for advanced user in Firefox Nightly to install extensions. We can use this feature to install SmartProxy.

How to Enable Full Add-ons Support in Firefox Nightly

  • Download Firefox Nightly from Google Play Store
  • Tap on the main menu (the three dots) and select Settings
  • Scroll down and select About Firefox Nightly
  • Tap on the Firefox Logo (next to Firefox Browser) five times until the Debug menu enabled notification is displayed
  • Go back to the main Settings page
  • Scroll down to the Advanced section and tap on Custom Add-on Collection
  • You will be asked a User ID and a name of a Collection
  • Enter these values, these are my user ID and the collection is for SmartProxy
    • User ID: 2221522
    • Collection Name: SmartProxyMobile

  • Firefox might close at this point to apply the changes. Run it again if needed.
  • Now tap on the Add-ons menus in the Settings page and you should see the SmartProxy extension
  • Tap on the + icon on the right to install.

You can create your own collection but you need to have a Firefox account. By creating your own collection you can add any extensions you want to Firefox. Just remember to update the User ID and Collection in the settings for that first.

Here are all the steps:
