Issue

We have a folder for our salespeople to move emails they want to archive. It only works if the email address is a contact. If they email a lead, nothing is written in SuiteCRM.

Expected Behavior

Tie an email to an email address no matter if it's a lead or a contact. We want to look at a lead and see who emailed them and when.

Actual Behavior

When using auto-archive, only emails that exist as a contact in SuiteCRM are uploaded and available. Send an email to a lead that is not a contact, and it won't be uploaded. You can do it manually, but this takes significant time.

I dont know shit about c# or this program, but in general terms: You can log it to a lead manually. Maybe have auto archive look through leads too?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have a lead with a unique email address and another lead that also exists as a contact.
  2. Send an email to both from outlook with auto-archive on.
  3. Move the emails to your auto-archive folder.
  4. Look at the history tab in each lead.

Context

Pretty important. My boss wants to see the complete history of a sale. He gets it as soon as a lead is converted to an account and a contact, but we'd like to see the salespeople's progress from the start.

Logs

Not that I know of.
