I am wondering why the table of French compose sequences at http://wincompose.info/doc/french/ uses the order letter, diacritic. The other order diacritic, letter resembles the use of dead keys which seems more natural to me (when typing on a keyboard).
Is one of the orders preferred?
Are all the sequences of letter + diacritic accessible using both the orders?

You're right, it would make more sense to swap all of these, even I use the diacritic-letter order exclusively. I will double check that they all work; I'm no longer sure of that because of the dozens of conflicts between Xorg and dotXCompose sequences.
