We currently have no way to assess PR viability without running every test ourselves. I know that a Jenkins build is being set up, but in the meantime, having a Travis or something similar would be a huge boon when it comes to code review.

Totally agree. Question: does Travis support private GitHub repos?

I heard good thing about Travis and Circle CI.

They are not free but imo they are worth it.

You can get setup in one hour or so.
