I was going to check how napari does it, but we are also invalid. 😂

I'm not sure why this is broken now for all projects that have this forum badge.

The JSON endpoint https://forum.image.sc/tag/scikit-image.json works for me, and the query path $.topic_list.tags.0.topic_count seems correct. Maybe it's a cross-site security setting in the image.sc forum, but I couldn't find anything related in the forum settings.

Edit:
I checked with https://jsononline.net/json-validator, and while manually pasting the JSON from https://forum.image.sc/tag/scikit-image.json gives "JSON is valid!", it complains "Please enter a valid url" when trying the Load URL button.
