A low-priority-but-nice feature would also be a "merge account"
functionality, like easychair uses.

Please add this! Because of the annoying way google login can switch gmail.com/googlemail.com domain names and due to email alias variants, I now have at least 3 extra accounts I am unable to delete 😞. Alternatively, is there some sysadmin I can email to request account deletions?

@sammorley-short if you'd like your account deleted, email @harrow or me.

I updated the title to reflect a more achievable goal: Come up with a standard process for "deleting an account" or "merging two accounts". Even if it's done manually, a checklist will help someone in that they won't have to figure it out when we have to do it. However, I have a feeling that implementing this in code might be more of a headache than expected. Because this happens so rarely, a manual process feels sustainable.

I deleted a user (which had no comments or scites), which involved removing them from the DB tables subscriptions and feed_preferences before removing them from users.
