Spam on mailing list (googlegroups)

Describe the bug

This is not a bug report for scoverage but an attempt to reach awareness.

The scoverage mailing list saw a lot of new spam entries recently.

Expected behavior

• Cleanup Spam entries
• Block spam users
• Either archive or moderate the mailing list

Thanks for the report @lefou. Do you still see the mailing list linked or advertised anywhere? I tried to remove those links since I don't have access to it, so there is no way for me to manage it.

@sksamuel would you by chance have access to the mailing list? I know for myself I'll never use it, so if there is a way to just archive it that'd be best. There are enough other ways people can seek out support without the mailing list.

I have the subscription from the times before Gitter and GitHub Discussions, haha. But there was never an announcement that the mailing list is no longer a communication channel. I don't need it tbh.

I just looked and there is no owner for this group. I would just suggest you leave it as Google groups is pretty dead across the board.
