ACE editor has a bug and a pull request deep in progress for a code complete feature:

ajaxorg/ace#1189

I think we should probably wait until that's pulled, unless feeling keen!

Also look at using ACE snippets, which seem related, and are being merged into ACE master too.

Code in browser tool is using a recent version of ACE, so this might be available now if SQL tool changes to use it too.
