Are the images in nightly emails broken for you? #283

I'm able to see the images:

I run my Gmail with image off until I hit "Display Images" If I hit Display Images everything comes through. That being said there have been occasions where I have had the odd image NOT appear just as you have described. I put it down to the vagaries of the "Apple Nanny State" protecting me from the bad world or some weird shit cross scripting thing. The incidence is really really low and if it was once a week I think that would be high. I will keep an eye on it though and see if there is a patter. Oh heavy iPad Gmail user 100+ a day |
I mainly use Apple Mail on macOS and the images are loading fine for me. |
Not working on Android/Gmail app or Windows/Chrome here. Maybe east coast thing? 🤔 |
I believe that images should now be loading correctly in emails coming through GMail. |
They have been; the last 2 days at least. Happy New Year!

I've observed that GMail is refusing to show the images on my nightly emails, both in the browser and in the iOS GMail app.
I'd like to know if this is happening for other people, and then run an experiment to see if we can figure out what it is they don't like about the images.
Here's what a broken image looks like in Safari on my iPad, and this is the location of the actual image.
