The current TB report is fairly basic and could be expanded.

Look at the WHO global report for inspiration: https://www.who.int/tb/publications/global_report/en/

Great!

I think there are two parts to this: the requirements for the report and technically how to implement.

In terms of requirements I think there really needs to be more information, presented in a more compact form. Probably in the form of tables (though fewer than in the WHO profiles) and better formatting. The final output also needs deciding on (currently it can go to html or pdf) - this will obviously dictate how formatting is done.

For the tech side of things my first thought would be to go with something like {flexdashboard}. That is mainly based on me having experience with it so happy for other suggestions.

A good first step is probably to develop a new version containing more information. Formatting it can then be done afterwards. Would you be happy to look at that? I think it would be a really nice addition to the package as I have had several emails from people using the report.
