This removes the need for a unique configuration annotation. An annotation is still required, however it does not need to be unique, or have any members, making it more of a 'marker' annotation that anything else. It would be possible to remove the need for this annotation entirely, however I am not sure if that is a good idea.
I think the docs for this need to be expanded, and should probably have another example added. Although that will probably have to wait till next release.
