Hi,
please consider issueing git tags for all published ruby gems in the future. that would be brilliant to be able to easily match versions to commits.
It would be equally awesome to at least get the latest release tagged and push for now

This isn't going to happen anytime soon. The scripts I use to mirror to github don't do tags properly.
