What problem are we solving?
disintegration/imaging was last updated in 2019 and uses x/image that has known issues.
How are we solving the problem?
cognusion/imaging forks master from upstream, includes unreleased commits from master, revs the relevant dependencies, and will be maintained for at least security updates.
Of note, this fork is being used by other projects that needed a modern fork of that package.
How is the PR tested?
Existing test suite passed.
