How would you like the feature to work?

Every Places Page should have its own events calendar that shows you right away which event is happening there when.
The calender should have the option to create repeating events so that if you have a weekly or even daily event you don't have to manually create 365 events...
On top of that, there should also be a general calendar that combines all the events that happen in all parcels in that region into one calendar.
For instance, I run 1920s Berlin, in this sim we have clubs, theatres, cinema, school, etc.
Many of these places have events.
If people check out the place page of such a location, they should get a calendar with all future events happening there.
But it would be fantastic if people visiting the region place page for Berlin they do not only see all the separate place pages for the parcels in that regions such as you see now, but also have all the events happening in all those pages in that main region page calendar.

So when you go to the Night club in Berlin place page you see the events happening on the calendar, but when you go to the main Berlin region place page you see the night club events but also school, bar, cinema, etc, etc.
And in stead of visiting the google calendar, facebook, asking inworld or checking an inworld calendar, you could simply visit the main Berlin Page and see all the events in that region.

AND in a perfect world you should be able to 'follow' any place page calendar so you get notified with inworld IMs when an event is about to begin.
I don't ask much... ;)

Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?

This is one I'm looking forward to because it can be a hassle to make sure people inworld know about which events happen when and where.
You can send notecards, reminders, have an inworld calendar, use facebook, google, etc, etc, and still people miss events.
It would just be much easier to have all the events inworld.

This would be very helpful.

At minimum, any events posted to the SL community calendar should appear in the calendar for that parcel (preferably with an RSS function).

We already have this on the list; expect this soon
