bcl2fastq takes lots of memory. By default, the pipeline uses 64Gb at max on a cluster. In practice, this is the memory required to demultiplex NextSeq data in some cases. 16Go is more reasonable and should work for most runs.
You can use our singularity image (Linux and Mac users). First install singularity tools.
You can then download and use a dedicated image as explained on https://github.com/sequana/sequana_demultiplex
