big job icons and role letters hide the name which makes it impossible to recognize friends when using those settings for other player characters

I don't think I will ever implement this. Party icons are primarily a plugin for instances, I have never envisioned it to be something used in overworld. The option was added by popular demand, but I don't want to revision the plugin with features that I will never use.
