\li Q: Just recently - when I run any of the octave_modular examples octave
will crash on exit.
A: These examples all run fine. The problem is there is a bug in octave that on exit crashes unregistering global variables.
This same thing happens when you run clear all and is currently only fixed in octave-svn but still awaits to be fixed within swig.
The report and relevant thread is here http://old.nabble.com/crashes-when-exiting-octave-and-loading-swig-wrapped-code-to25989323.html

\li Q: I've found a bug, where should I report it?
A: Either report it in our bug tracker http://trac.tuebingen.mpg.de/shogun or
ask on the mailinglist.
