Before you begin, ensure you have the following software installed:
- Node.js
- npm (comes with Node.js)
- Python 3
- React.js
Follow these steps to get your development environment running:
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/yourusername/FinOptiX.git
cd FinOptiX
Install backend dependencies:

Navigate to the client directory and install frontend dependencies:
cd client
npm install
cd ..
Install Python dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt
Running the Application
To run both frontend and backend servers simultaneously:
Start the backend server from the root directory:
node server.mjs
In another terminal, navigate to the client directory and start the React application:
cd client
npm start
Both services will run concurrently, with the frontend accessible through http://localhost:3000 and the backend handling API requests(http://localhost:5001).
