  • I have searched open and closed issues for duplicates
  • I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Bug Description

Contacts in groups cannot be tagged if their names are exclusively of Hebrew characters. Putting any Hebrew character after the @ symbol will not show any names, as if there are no contacts with that character in their name.
On mobile, for contrast, this works as expected.

Steps to Reproduce

Type the @ symbol followed by one or many Hebrew character with a corresponding contact in the group.

Actual Result:

No names are shown, as if there is no contact corresponding to the character.

Expected Result:

A list of names pops allowing you to tag a user, as on Mobile.

Could this issue be related to #4810 (i.e. resulting from the same issue of not supporting UTF-8)?

Still present in 6.x, by the way (specifically up to and including 6.11)
