Project dead? #754

Well it all depends on willingness of others to take over the maintenance and further development. I started the project about 9 years ago but I no longer use OData protocol in my projects, I even almost stopped using C# (switched to F#). So we will see what's going to happen to it. |
OK, thanks for your clear statement and for the 9 years of development. |
I'm using Simple.OData.Client for Blazor server-side. Works great. I had performance problems with Blazor WASM. |
@object If you want, I could merge some of the pull requests and do some minor changes to the library. I'll use it in a private project. It's just stupid right now, that everyone will create an own version and nothing will be merged. |
I'm using this in production as well but considering a switch if ownership/maintenance cannot be transferred. How are we doing with the pipe, clabot, merges, maintenance etc? As @manureini pointed out, everyone doing private versions is troublesome... |
I'll try to pick up some of the PRs over the next week or so - been busy with the day job but I have another project which needs OData again so will be more involved again. |
@houbi56 I just merged the pending pull request, it is released with the version 5.15. @manureini Thank you for the initiative. Yes, merging pull requests will be great but we need more than that because some of PRs require more work, others may not fit the library design. As I said before, I no longer use OData myself and C# is not even more main programming language anymore. I fully understand the inconvenience of using a package that is not frequently updated but I can only occasionally have a look at it myself. Anyone of group of people willing take a long term commitment to the library is welcome. |
@object Thanks for your 9 years of hard work. |
