Hi there and thank you for your contribution.
I don't believe xdg-open is installed on all Linux distributions (I know it is at least on Ubuntu)
Maybe we also don't need the whole thing but just a line below like "In a linux terminal the xdg-open command might work for you depending on your system" or something like that
