I think it's a massive hog of space to be calling them minimum and maximum. The shorter min and max say the exact same thing and are virtually no more confusing.

Maybe it's a bit over the top in this specific case, but I just dread abbreviations in general. PR welcome to change it, although maximum and minimum should be preserved for backwards compatibility.
