For example, what are the key features of SkyTether and Mochi subprojects? What other key features are missing?

I don't think there's anything else I need to add for skytether.

The relevant features are already mentioned:

• Ongoing work to orchestrate distributed processing using Substrait
• Ongoing work to support dynamic fallback mechanism to prevent overload

I consider query optimization, integration with other backend systems (e.g. duckdb, tiledb), and management of single-cell bioinformatics data to be separate from skytether.
