Windows Services automation with PowerShell

The automation in this repository will example scripts related to Windows managing services on servers/pcs.

Prerequisites

• PowerShell v5.1

Instructions

Parameters:

• Option - What you are trying to do, "start" or "stop" the service. Other options may be added in the future
• SvcName - Name of the service you want to manage, accepts wildcards. (note this is the "Display Name")

Example:

powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "C:\Windows_Services.ps1" -svcName "SMA*" -option "start"
