How to define a timeout timer?

I noticed there's a Async::Clock primitive, but I'm curious how one would define a timeout for an async task. I want to send network traffic, wait for a response, but disconnect and re-connect if a timeout is exceeded.

I might be misunderstanding but I think generally you're supposed to use with_timeout on the task.
