The first alpha is out. State of play slash checklist:

  • Dependencies look good - revisions only, if that.

  • Minor doctest code breakage; patched in head.hackage, so let's just commit that.

  • No 8.10 packages yet in HVR's PPA, so CI can't test yet.

  • CI is using a released cabal-install for GHC 8.10.

  • CI enabled for 8.10, and it's not an allowed failure.

  • No --allow-newer on CI for 8.10.

Ping.. could we have a 8.10 compatible doctest release ? It could be helpful for folks preparing their packages for 8.10.

I'll cut a release within the next few days, ideally after cabal-install 3.2 is out so I can test in CI with an as-released configuration, but if that doesn't happen soon I'll just pull the lever anyway.

Also blocked on a hsc2hs release for GHC 8.10: haskell/hsc2hs#41.

Release cut. Please open new issues if there's anything else to do!
