The Director of Solid and administrators will determine the number of team members, always greater than two, and meet or exceed regulatory requirements. All those in an administrator role must disclose outside ties to organizations/directorships. Make sure to inform the DEIT of any changes like directorships when the changes take place. Ties that should be disclosed are working with organizations or companies affiliated with Solid like Janeiro Digital, Inrupt, etc. At this time, there are no issues with having multiple affiliations in the Solid community. Anyone can join. The administrators shall establish and approve formal and transparent remuneration policies and procedures for all community members. Administrators do not get paid for any directors’ fees. No fees will be required to join. |

Made changes based on additional comments
I believe the intent is for this file to be recognized at Markdown - recommend changing filename to dei.md so github recognizes it as such. |

Fixed some typos, punctuation, and language. No meaning should be changed by these tweaks.

re #254 (comment) , it was marked as resolved without changes but no reason was given.

is sufficient. The following sentence is unnecessary:
Ties that should be disclosed are working with organizations or companies affiliated with Solid like Janeiro Digital, Inrupt, etc.
The charter should not mention companies in this way.

For some reason, it will not let me commit the suggestions Sarven made, so I made it manually. I also saw the comment about the DEIT, so there were a few parts that said DEI Team. I updated them to DEIT. I believe that was the final comment to be changed for this PR to be merged.

The Director of Solid and chair members will determine the number of community members, always greater than two, to meet or exceed regulatory requirements. All those in a chair member role must disclose relevant ties to organizations/companies/directorships and inform the DEIT of any changes to these when such changes take place. At this time, there are no issues with having multiple affiliations in the Solid community. Anyone can join. The administrators shall establish and approve formal and transparent remuneration policies and procedures for all team members. Chair members do not get paid any director fees. No fees will be required to join. | ||
## Authority | ||
The DEIT has no expressed or implied power or authority above any other Teams in Solid. The DEIT will hold other Soid Teams accountable in all significant decisions and changes the DEIT makes for the community. The work that we are invested in is written below. |
