[Feature Request] Implement left / right arrow usage in Alt+Tab to go back / forward #1052
Comments
I would like this as well. This issue is related: #953 In case of a large amount of open files, I would consider implementing all 4 arrows and not just left/right. This enables reaching your target application much faster if there are multiple rows. Can someone point me to the source-files for the task-switcher? |
I would also like to see this and and add 2 cent as to why:
Well it would be nice if this happened (also if i could help, alas i'm newbie) |
Agree with @jepperaskdk on implementing all 4 arrow keys. Since the icons in the alt+tab view are in multiple rows, it would be very convenient to go down a row with down, and up a row with up (such as in Windows 10 for example). |
Any update on this? |
Hi! I just installed budgie desktop and really missing this feature.. Is it there an intention of implementing this? Or has anyone found a way to replace the whole alt+tab package? Thanks! |
Operating System: Solus 2017.04.18.0
Budgie version: v10.3.1-404-g128a50a
The issue encountered
Using left and right arrows while using the alt+tab dialog doesn't switch between windows, which is, in my opinion, less efficient for keyboard-driven usage when one may have their right hand positioned on the arrow keys, or using a smaller form factor keyboard and having arrow keys on a separate function layer.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Press alt+tab, use your arrow keys.
