Operating System: Ubuntu Budgie 18.10
Budgie version: 10.4

The issue encountered
Raven panel overlaps the top panel or vice versa (see attached screenshots). This issue seems to be dependent on the screen resolution. On a 1920x1200 (16:10) screen this issue shows up right after login. To temporarily fix it (just for the current session) switching screen resolution to 1920x1080 and back again reduces Raven's height so that it no longer covers the top panel. Running the same environment on a 1920x1080 display this issue only shows up occasionally.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  • Logging in on a 16:10 screen
  • Switching screen resolution to 1920x1080 and back to 1920x1200

dual screen or single screen?

If the former you'll need to align the top of each display in Settings - Displays (and thus this will be a duplicate of several existing issues)

This issue occurred in a single screen environment.

After some more research it turned out that the issue is not related to my display's 16:10 aspect ratio. Also after logging in with regular Full HD resolution configured reproduced that issue. However, switching the resolution to something else fixes the problem.

Is there any additional information I should provide in order to further analyse this problem?

My system uses a NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 with the nvidia-driver-390. However, I also tried the Nouveau driver which did not change the described behavior.
