Sonic Pi Boot Error #3362
Comments
I can glean form the ref to .exe files in the logs that you are using Windows, but it might be helpful to say what version of OS and what version of Sonic Pi you are using. Is it a built release, or a self-build? |
I assumed my posting was being helpful, my bad for not including my OS, yes. It's Windows 11. Your latest release https://sonic-pi.net/files/releases/v4.5.0/Sonic-Pi-for-Win-x64-v4-5-0.msi |
Ok Thanks for the info. Unfortunately windows are not my forte so I think it may be down to @samarron to comment on your problem. Especially as it is the supported install. Sent from my iPhoneOn 23 Dec 2023, at 12:53, Jerry Vrabel ***@***.***> wrote:

Sorry you're still having issues and thanks for the feedback. Could you let me know if this folder exists and if so what the contents are: |
Happy to oblige. The pathing/dirs exist but at the end of the road the bin
dir is empty.

There's a tau/erts-14.2.3/bin/ dir and that bin is populated. If that
helps troubleshoot.

That doesn't seem right. I wonder if somehow things got corrupted during an update. Could you completely uninstall sonic pi and also ensure the sonic pi directory is removed (manually if necessary). Then reinstall and try again. |
Removing the directories manually, and reinstalling for the win. Thanks
for the help in resolving this, happy to be back in the sonic π crowd. - A
fan of your work
